Trust you all are in good health... I had been to JoAnns the other day and found a very cute flannel sheet set totally suited for a newborn ! It had the words Tiny feet, precious angel etc... on it and I immediately had to have it ... Now if I were to gift that to someone as a receiving blanket it wouldn't be that great, just a piece of fabric with the edges sewn, so I decided to jazz it up a bit...
I lined the wrong side with some lightweight cotton fabric and crocheted the edges with a pompom yarn and it turned out wonderful!!! The only thing was that it took me ages to crochet on the border and my skip stitch blade didnt work as it was supposed to and I ended up having to pierce holes with my stitch remover as I crocheted along and this took me ages to complete! So what was intended to be a fun easy project turned out to be so time consuming! But in the end it was really worth it and I loved the end result...
